Tulip Festival & Hell's Kitchen

TULIP FESTIVAL

It was a hot and sunny day. MRS organised its 3rd and last trip for the year. We are going for the tulips festival which is a sign to indicated that spring is here.

The festival is at Mt Dandenong. Initially thought will be like Cameron or Genting Highland weather, but it turned out to be much hotter. The sky was blue with little cloud.

The tulips were grown on quite a large area. The color was so bright that it was beautiful. This was the first time in my life to see that much of tulips. Talking about tulips, you will think of Netherlands. People wearing in Dutch customs walking a round. Since said is a festival, there are lots of stalls around too, selling yummy food. We even went for wine tasting. Wine can be very nice too.

The flowers are nice bloom. It was so nice. I like the yellow and red one.

Spring is here. February when i came is almost end of summer. March started to be cold since autumn. Freezing June makes me hate of cold. Time really flies as was spring now. Sun is great...


HELL'S KITCHEN

After the tiring yet boring trip, we went for a play. Evone was having performance in the Alexander Theatre tonight. To support her, we went for the show. It was named "Hell's Kitchen".

Even though it was called "Hell's Kitchen", you won't see any food, any pots and pans, or even the kitchen on stage. It is just about the "recipe" that u need to go to hell.

It was a nice show. Dancing, singing and acting. Great! It was quite a typical M'sia and Singapore play. The way they speak, the way they instill humour in the story line. Evone started the play half a year ago. That was quite a long time to prepare. However, i believed all the hard works pay.

Oo, beng also manage to win a hamper. Good job. There goes our snack for the coming trip.

What i did

Everyone was questioning what i did for Liping for her birthday. Now, i only give u the steps of what i did for her...

Step 1: Collect everyone's greeting and print on a piece of paper. Fold the paper as small as possible.

Step 2: Stuff the paper into a balloon.

Step 3: Blow the balloon

Step 4: Tie the balloon

Step 5: Keep the balloon

Step 6: Tie the balloon together.

Ok, that is the present part. Easy and simple. Btw, i didn't read the content at all of all the greetings. Not 38 at all. haha

Now, the cake part:

Step 1: Buy choc ripple cookies

Step 2: Buy thickened cream

Step 3: Put sugar to thickened cream

Step 4: Use thickened cream as glue to stick the cookies together

Step 5: Cover the cookies with cream

Step 6: Put into fridge to soften it

Step 7: Take out

The "cake" is also as simple as that. More instrcution google "choc ripple cake"

*No pictures cause can't let people see. Is ugly, but yummy... suitable for choc lover like liping. Haha

Everything i did is just simple thing. Without the help of everyone, my plan won't work too. =)

Lucky Number?

I found that these numbers keep on appearing in my life:

These piece of blue paper is from the blazer that i sent for dry wash. When i see this, i was shock.

The number my extension number is 57914. Lolz, miss the 3.

My NS No. Pelatih 413 and and I was staying in Room 9. Miss the 5.

My IC number last 4 number 539X.

These number somehow arrange and appear in my life. Coincident? Interesting...

Two more months

My days in Australia is numbered. Sad to say this but I still have to accept it.

The last 8 months, I feel that i learned a lot. It is an eye opening experience and I like this place a lot. The scenery and the stuff here surprise me and I had lots of fun.

Now working on a big project. Hope that I manage to do it with less help from other people. Must be independent.

To remember the good time I have, the coming entries, will have more photos about my life here.

Baby 9.0

I forgot the prototype edy. According to Justin it is Baby 9.0.

Yesterday was happy with its performance. But today got a bit problem. Pray for baby... Hope ur reliability increase.

Weird Weather

Today, the weather was very wierd.

It is uncommon for malaysian to talk about weather back home. If got, only thing we can hear from people talking weather is "HOT!".

Today, for the first time in Australia, I experience very weird weather.

Morning, around 9am:

Me: (Walking to school) Today the weather is nice. Lets go volley.
Khong: See first lah~

Afternoon, around 1pm:

Me: (Walking to campus centre) How come like going to rain one??
Khong: You said the weather is nice?

Afternoon, around 2 pm:

Me: (Eating noodles) Wow, the weather is nice again
Khong: Hot!

Evening, around 5pm

Me: (While jogging) Wow, first time hear thunder and see lightning in Australie. Better go back

Evening, around 5.30pm

Me: Is dropping ice. But is not cold

What a nice weather

The Richo 1920 Gangster Ball

Again, i got a chance to Red Scooter again after the Welcoming Dinner at the beginning of the year. As time past, it is 7 months ago since i came Australia. I remembered it is 11 February. The first time i reached a foreign country.

The theme for the ball is 1920 gangsters. Let me listed out what i realised from the ball. Let me name the guys as Ah Beng and the girls as Ah Lian for the following. No offence, just simplified for me:

Ok, if you believe that those photos are taken by me and praised my photography skill, then you are being fooled. Can't you see that i am in the photos as well?? Those photos are taken by a professional photographer who done a great job. He uploaded these photos on the website and we are free to download it. It looked like we took these photos in some photo studio, but is actually the couches at a corner where we sit there since we are bored with the music there.

Week 9

This week, the final exam timetable released. After last sem complaining my exam finish very late, this sem i complained my exam finish very early. :p

My exam ended 3 Nov this year. Never had such an early finished exam. Pro, long holiday; Cons, short study period.

Baby was working badly since we didn't finalize our design yet. Hope we get it out before holiday.

These days feel stressed. Maybe all blog readers heard this is the nth time i said i was stressed but i still want to complain about it. Hope things get well next week.

Large Hadron Collider

To you know what is it?? Justin told me this and i was shocked to hear this. If he didn't told me this, I wouldn't know the reason if I suddenly die.

Again, quoted from my favourite encyclopedia, Wikipedia:

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator complex, intended to collide opposing beams of protons charged with approximately 7 TeVs of energy. Its main purpose is to explore the validity and limitations of the Standard Model, the current theoretical picture for particle physics. It is theorized the collider will produce the elusive Higgs boson, the observation of which could confirm the predictions and missing links in the Standard Model of physics and could explain how other elementary particles acquire properties such as mass.

The LHC was built by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), and lies underneath the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva, Switzerland. It is funded by and built in collaboration with over eight thousand physicists from over eighty-five countries as well as hundreds of universities and laboratories. The LHC is now operational, and in the process of being prepared for first collisions. The first beam was circulated through the collider on 10 September 2008 and the first high-energy collisions are planned to take place after the LHC is officially unveiled on 21 October 2008.

Although a few individuals have questioned the safety of the planned experiments in the media and through the courts, the consensus in the scientific community is that there is no basis for any conceivable threat from the LHC particle collisions.

The theory that wanted to proof from this experiment and the worse case from this theory:

1. The Big Bang Theory: Scientists inadvertently make a micro black hole, and the earth is quickly erased from existence. Just kidding: scientists at CERN and elsewhere have ruled out the possibility that the LHC will create any kind of doomsday scenario. The black holes that the LHC could theoretically create don't even have enough energy to light up a light bulb. On the other hand, the U.K.'s Astronomer Royal put the odds of destroying the world at 1 in 50 million(which puts it in the realm of possibilities but still not as likely as hitting the lottery).
   
2. String Theory: String theory's basic assumptions are violated. The LHC will be the first particle accelerator capable of allowing scientists to study W bosons, the elementary particle responsible for the weak force. If they don't scatter in certain ways, it'll be back to the drawing board for a generation of string theorists, or as one physicist told New Scientist, "If we see these violations, people will start working very feverishly on some sort of alternative that will produce these violations."
3. The "Our Universe Is Not Alone" Theory: Our universe really is alone. Or even worse: it's lonely.
4. The Dark Matter of the Universe Theory: Proudly, physicists announce that they've observed dark matter's unmistakable signature inside one of the LHC's detectors. But over the next few weeks, the reality sinks in that they've actually made a measurement mistake. Some physicists don't think that the LHC will be precise enough to measure any dark matter that it's lucky enough to create.
5. The Standard Model of Particle Physics: The Higgs boson -- the long-postulated particle that is supposed to give mass to particles -- is finally confirmed. Sure, discovering the Higgs at the LHC would be neat, but it would basically just confirm a lot of what physicists already know, without really pushing the science: Boring. Some scientists have even said that their worst case scenario for the entire collider project would be finding the Higgs and just the Higgs.

Conclusion:

• A do wrong, SC was the scapegoat, Mr K was to be blame. If you get to figure it out, yes, A is like a saint.

Baby

Today, our design is quite an easy pass. Dr Price was nice. Maybe he dun expect much for at this time. We were shock as he always has high expectation on us.

Now, show u some of the output of the JW (Ju Wei, Jun Wei and Jian Wei. Dr Price has problem to differentiate the difference in pronunciation) gang. But, hope that our baby really works in the coming one month time. Come on baby

These days spend my time slacking around. Day doing my design and night doesn't feel like studying. Recommended by friends, i started to watch moonlight resonance (家好月圆）. Is so unreal that someone so nice in this world. Haha, and i found myself a bit shock when the good guy scold the bad guy. You can call me psychopathic. The story line is just that the good guy faces problem created by bad guy, in the end the bad guy was scolded by good guy speechlessly. HK drama has a formula in its story line, but still ppl like it.

This semester had passed half of it and the days i stay in Australia are numbered. Work hard and play hard....
