ToolBox Hunt

24 July 2008
8am
Woke up at 8am that day. Frankly speaking, i dunno why i woke up that early cause i promised my friend to meet them up at 9.30am. However, the first thought when i woke up was, "where is my toolbox?". Immediately, i called Justin to ask whether was with him. Shit! The moment he said NO, i knew my group had lost a toolbox.

What so special of that toolbox? It keeps my screwdriver, blade and also the wire stripper that Justin likes very much. That's not all. We put our tamiya car inside that will help us survive through the semester for ECE3091 and helps us to get good marks in the unit. Of course, our built device must work. The most important is that we put the Miniboard designed by our lecturer, Dr Price which is only available through this unit. You can't find it on market but it was kindly lend to us. If you lost it, you need to pay U$150 for a bigger one which can't guarantee anything. Imagine how dailok it is if i lost the board.

9am
Justin and i were in school searching for the missing toolbox. Initially, i was quite relaxing cause i thought that i can easily get back the toolbox. It was either in the open lab or in the EH3 where we had our EM practical class the day before it. However, i started to feel the stress when i found that the toolbox was not in either the mentioned location. I started to recall where on earth i placed the toolbox. I seek for help from the lab assistant and he was kind to help me to check the cctv who actually took my toolbox. Thanks to the lab assistant and i prayed for good news from him.

However, we went around to search for the missing toolbox. We went to the student service centre, we went to the lost and found office and the security. Try to go for the cleaners which we suspect that they might found it when cleaning the EH3.

9.30am
As planned, we headed to the Jaycar to buy components for our project devices. I met up with jun wei and told him what actually happened but we still need to get out devices. However, i was in bad mood that i started to blame myself for losing the toolbox. Jun Wei tried to console me but i knew how stubborn i am. The day before, it was me who egoly bring the toolbox everywhere. It was me who loss the toolbox. It was me!

12.30pm
OMG! i received an email from the lab assistant saying that through cctv, it was actually me bringing the toolbox out of the lab. Means that i lost the toolbox in EH3. I kept going to the security the ask whether there is a lost toolbox but the answer always disappointed me. I started to curse those who stole my toolbox if someone really stolen it.

2-6pm
Having power and EM class. However, i was down. Keep thinking of the toolbox. After class, went to the security again. Answer from them: NO again.

8pm
No choice but keep on waiting until the next day. Luckily justin and jun wei were with me. However, i still can't stop blaming myself. Careless me~ Discussed with jun wei, we decided to go to the security again next morning to try our luck.

25 July 2008
9am
Jun wei and I went to the security to ask for news. NO! However, we asked where is the cleaner office and get to know where to find.

9.15am
Went to the cleaner office, we talked with the cleaners' supervisor. He said that they didn't find any toolbox and claimed that if they found anything, they will send to the security. He said that chances were slim to find back the toolbox. Started to lose hope~ However, i still leave my contact number with him, in case anything was found.

9.22am
"We may have found your toolbox, come back to find me," said the cleaner supervisor. Light shines. Apparently, the supervisor called the cleaner on duty that day cleaning up EH3 and asked if he/she found a toolbox. The cleaner claimed that he/she found one and sent to the student service centre. RUN!

9.35am
"A cleaner claimed that a lost toolbox was sent here yesterday. Is it?"
"Yeah. You are lucky that 30 more minutes later, we will send to XXX. How it looks like?"
Dramatically, we found back the toolbox. Even before power lab.

~THE END~

Moral of story:
Don't be careless especially with something that important. Thanks Jun Wei and Justin for not blaming me through the hunt. Thanks a lot.

Back 2 School

Ok, tired of uploading pictures of Red Centre Tour, I would like to share the photos of the Back 2 School function. It was organised my RHS and it was the 2nd function i went since the Toga Party. This time, not using bedsheet to wrap ourselves, we are wearing school uniform to party. But since i didn't bring my high school uniform along, I just wear something to look like school uniform.

Really respect Paul's courage to dress as a girl

Jun Wei always kena all girls jokes

That night is almost Shimpei's birthday. Khong and I asked the dj of the party at 12am. And we bring in a birthday cake for him. However, dunno which guy ruin the birthday cake by smashing it on Shimpei's face. There went my lunch.

Shimpei's birthday

That night, Sing Ping was in hospital because of appendix with Justin accompanied her.Everyone was worried that night and we paid her a visit in the hospital the next day.

Red Centre Tour Day 5 + 6

OK, try to speed things up to upload more new photos as these days although school starts it is still so happening. Badman movie was great. Thanks to the Joker. You are great and impressive. More movies coming up and hope MRS as more heavily subsidised movie tickets.
Day 5
Today we went to Simpsons Gap and took a very nice group photo. Too bad that I dunno how to upload here to share with everyone. However, the scenery was awesome.

Simpsons Gap

There is actually a lake between the gap and it is nice

Yey!
After the Simpsons Gap, we headed to Stanley's Chasm. Initially I was so unhappy that why we need to walk so far to that place. It was so tiring and hot as it was almost 12 noon. However, when reach the place, all walking is worth.

Craig (tour leader) and me

If you think i walk a lot that day, that was actually nothing.

Day 6
Today, we were heading to Kings Creek where a lot of adventurous activities can be done. However before that, we need to climb the King's Canyon first. Although it was ting, i was the most fun climbing experience.

Before the climb

Climbing up King's Canyon with the distance of 10km (not very sure)

On top of the canyon, th scenery was very nice. The rock structure and the lines are 3D-ly beautiful (I know there is no such words). Means that the bauty of it can't be expressed through photos

Finally finish the climb. Lawrance, Khong and me made a good 3-person team. 三人行必有我师焉。

Around evening, we reached Kings Creek and Khong, Evone, Sing Ping and I went for a camel ride. Camel ride during sunset was so romantic. Too bad, all of us are all single. Wahaha...

The highlight of the Red Centre Tour is coming...

Week 1

Haiz, so troublesome but finally settle my timetable and units. Hope I made the right choice and must work hard. All 4 subjects are hard. No fooling around.

Starting from the first day was already stressed. Wake up at 7, lecture are 8. But never mind, met the sexy cowboy DG Holmes what Titus like very much. He is cool indeed.

Rushing in lectures, rushing out lectures' office. So tiring.Even stress to choose my design topic which I will be busy the whole semester. Hope I made the right choice.

Robotic sounds interesting and hard too. Sigh~ Next week EM lab is starting and I am not in any how prepared. Time is running out and i dun think I have the time to prepare.

Now even worst. I am packing to go for a ski trip where the time of departure is exactly one hour away.

Week 1 so busy~~

Snow, here i come~~

Red Centre Tour Day 3 + 4

Ah~~ The unit selection for this semester is so annoying. Hope everything goes well and hope that my selection is correct. But anyway, still need to continue the report for Red Centre Tour. Uploading these photos took me ages.

Day 3
We are leaving CooberPedy to Alice Spring. Alice Spring is a well known town at the central of Australia. We set up our tent there and the temperature dropped to zero celsius that night. Cold~ Justin and I shared a tent. Dun worry, we no gaying...

Red Centre Tour Day 1 + 2

During the break, i went to the central of Australia. The journey was far, but is fun.
Day 1 (1 July 2008)
We started our journey by waking up at 4am and abroad the bus at 5am something. It is early but we have no choice. We spend our time on the bus anyway. We spent a night at Adelaide. We stayed in a bunkhouse and it is near the seashore. Before dinner, we took a walk by the seaside. Sea breeze was so refreshing and cold.

8 of us (include me, the photographer)

Day 2 (2 July 2008)

Again, we had to wake up early that day as we had a 12-hours road journey to reach our first destination, Coober Pedy. Coober Pedy is a small town famous for its opal mine. It is like a desert to me where water is precious. We can't mandi sampai puas thanks to the cold weather and precious water. We visited the opal mine and watch how opal was cut. The mining tunnels were fun. However, this is the place where people worked hard to dig out the opal mine many years ago. They stay in underground houses inside the tunnel. It is just like your house and "office" is connected.

The small town is quite complete with facilities. From hospital to school, from church to bank (realise everything is singular??), it also have a pub where my angmoh friends will be very happy about it. Since my friend gang wasn't that keen with pub, we played with Justin camera with special effect. It was fun.

Woke up very early for Coober Pedy

I believe pictures says a thousand words but I feel annoying as blogspot doesn't allow me to upload tonnes of pictures at the same time. Next entry...
